Welcome to the University of Sheffield Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society Website! 

Founded in 2017, ObG Society aims to broaden and enhance obstetric and gynaecological medical education through running events such as revision sessions, , clinical skills events and academic talks.

We also aim provide and share resources and awareness about ObG.

Obstetrics and gynaecology is a medical specialty focused on women's health. Obstetrics is concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the post-delivery period. Gynaecology is concerned with the health of the female reproductive systems and breasts.

Obstetrics and gynaecology is a combination of medicine and surgery. There are a range of options to undertake sub-specialty training or advanced skills training. Sheffield ObG Soc aims to inspire and engage medical students to consider a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We aim to organise speaker events from the field in O&G research, women's health advocates and host ethical debates relevant to the field of women's health. We also aim to engage with students of other allied health care professionals such as midwifery students to promote the multidisciplinary team culture.
